Description | The main objective of this course is to familiarize students with the fundamental concepts and practical applications of standard corporate bookkeeping practices. The course begins by providing a comprehensive overview of accounting principles and introduces various accounts and the accounting equation. It covers essential accounting documents such as the journal, General Ledger, and trial balance before diving into a detailed exploration of balance sheets and income statements. Additionally, the course delves into the analysis of ongoing transactions that impact the components of balance sheets and income statements. By the end of the course, students will have developed the necessary skills to accurately record these transactions in various accounting records and to prepare crucial financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements. |
