Description | This course concentrates on the capital structure of a corporation, its capital-raising strategies, and its payout policies. Students are presented to the choice between debt and equity, and how to balance the capital structure of a corporation according to the costs of capital specific to the corporation. An exposition of security issues methods and strategies is given, briefly detailing private placements, IPOs, and other underwriting processes. Next, students are introduced to the problem of dividends payout and debt policy. Particular attention shall be paid to capital-raising. |
