Description This course concentrates on the capital structure of a corporation, its capital-raising strategies, and its payout policies. Students are presented to the choice between debt and equity, and how to balance the capital structure of a corporation according to the costs of capital specific to the corporation. An exposition of security issues methods and strategies is given, briefly detailing private placements, IPOs, and other underwriting processes. Next, students are introduced to the problem of dividends payout and debt policy. Particular attention shall be paid to capital-raising.

Prerequisites - Basic knowledge of accounting

Sustainable development In order to implement the objectives of France's "Green Plan of Higher Education Institutions", each class considers the issues and stakes of Sustainable Development related to the subject matter being taught
Course sequencing
Method Lecture course supported by PPT expositions, case studies, and exercises.

Students should get previously acquainted with each class session's material.
Assessment Written exam outside of class time (60 %) - Durée. 2h
