Method | Active teaching is less structured than "traditional" teaching, in which the learner is given a reference framework (a program to follow) and calibrated exercises to test his or her knowledge and skills. With active methods, learners are certainly supervised, but they are more autonomous in their approach, and work is sometimes done in groups. Learners must therefore be clearly informed of the objectives of the approach and the evaluation criteria (EISON,1991). |
