Description Management Information Systems (MIS) is a formal discipline within business education that bridges the gap between computer science and well-known business disciplines such as finance, marketing, and management. Information systems are one of the major tools available to business managers for achieving operational excellence, developing new products and services, improving decision making, and achieving competitive advantage.



This course provides an overview of the core concepts of information systems, the impact of IS on the broader world and the way it helps firms to manage business activities and create value to obtain a competitive advantage. At the end, students will be exposed to the key concepts of people, process, and technology in information systems through lecture and case study.
