Description This course explores the diverse area of soft power in international affairs, examining its immense effect on influencing global political processes. It provides students with an in-depth examination of the many instruments and techniques that countries use to wield influence via non-coercive means, such as the diffusion of culture, values, and policies. Students will gain an understanding of the subtle role that soft power plays in critical sectors such as international diplomacy, public opinion formation, and global governance architecture via the examination of precisely chosen case studies, influential ideas, and practical real-world examples. Students will leave this course with a complete grasp of how soft power functions as a persuasive force on the international arena, profoundly altering the interactions and results of states in our intricately interwoven world.
